Emma completed her GP training in Adelaide and Northern NSW, and so is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP). She has further qualifications in skin cancer and mental health.
Emma is also a supervisor of registrars on the GP training programme.
Dr Emma Coldwell has a special interest in mental health and psychosocial well-being. She believes that mental health is much broader than the treatment of mental illness. Similarly, health is more than the absence of illness. Many aspects of everyday life are stressful, and this stress can add up to the point where it consequently impacts on our ability to function at our best. Helping people to unravel the stress of life, parenting, poor sleep, negative patterns and unhelpful habits, is work that Dr. Emma finds particularly rewarding.
Dr Coldwell proudly provides the best in science-based medicine. When not at the clinic, Emma is either at home or just popping to Coles with her kids. As a mum of two young boys, Emma’s hobbies include repeating herself and folding laundry. When she has a chance, Emma enjoys silence, reading novels and discussing the quandaries of the human condition.
