She completed the rest of her residency in Palliative Care, Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Rockhampton Base Hospital and Gladstone Hospital and General Medicine and Urology at QEII in Brisbane.
Dr Khyentse began General Practice training at Gundagai Medical Centre where the five GP Registrars also took turns to staff the hospital and Emergency Department during the week and on weekends. Retrievals by road or air to higher levels of care sometimes had to be organised. From Gundagai, she went to West Ballina Medical Centre before moving to The Bright Side Clinic, where she is currently undertaking Fellowship exams.
Dr Khyentse practices evidence-based medicine and has a special interest in Paediatrics. She likes to spend her spare time with her grandchildren and participating in meditation activities.
