- From July 30th, masks are required when you attend the clinic. We encourage you to get a cloth mask. Masks are available from pharmacies, and from reception for $2.
- The pandemic is not over. We all need to continue social distancing and hand hygiene. If you are sick, stay home and contact your doctor about getting tested.
- There has been community spread of the virus in Melbourne. This is why they are experiencing a second lockdown. Please advise our staff if you have been in Victoria in the last 14 days.
- There is community spread in Sydney. Further lockdowns for NSW are being considered. Please advise our staff if you have been in Sydney or a NSW hotspot in the last 14 days.
- There has been spread from Melbourne to Brisbane. People recently diagnosed have been active in the Logan area for 8 days before being tested.
- In accordance with the public health advice, we require that all staff, patients and carers attending The Bright Side Clinic wear a mask.
- We strongly encourage everyone to buy or make cloth masks.
- What's happening in Melbourne could happen here. What's happening in the USA could happen here. We all need to do our part.

The Novel Coronavirus is a global pandemic. The virus itself is called SARS-COV2, the illness it causes is called COVID-19.
What can you do if you are concerned you may have it?
First, thoroughly read the latest information at https://www.health.gov.au
After reading the latest information at the link above, CALL your GP. Please let reception know that you are specifically concerned that you have cold or flu-like symptoms. Wait at home until you hear back from the clinic. If you are very unwell, CALL your local Emergency Department. They will advise you about what to do next.
PLEASE CALL. DO NOT ARRIVE AT A CLINIC OR EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT WITH COLD OR FLU-LIKE SYMPTOMS WITHOUT CALLING AHEAD.
What can you do to minimise your risk of catching it?
At this stage of the pandemic, we should all be practicing Social Distancing. What does this mean?
- Stay home as much as possible. Work from home if you can. Go out to buy a sensible amount of food. If you are sick or need your regular medication, call your GP.
- When out, stay 1.5m away from other people. Wash your hands frequently, especially after touching something communal like a door handle or trolley. Avoid touching your face. Wear a mask when social distancing is not possible, especially in crowded indoor spaces.
- Avoid unnecessary contact with people. Do not hug, shake hands or use touch to greet people.
- Take this seriously. Encourage people you know to take it seriously. Inform yourself about what is happening in the USA. Social distancing is our most powerful move against this virus.
- Stay home. Practice social distancing.
